Jennifer Bolande

Bolande's works focus on iconographic images of contemporary culture and the way the individual relates to them. Her work Road Movie; composed of six discrete photographs, uses trucks and roads as symbols of freedom, move-ment, and transportation. Bolande also examines these vehicles in relation to the human form. Her photo-graphs match the design of items such as toy trucks and driving components to parts of her own body.
